Shot Notes
“In 1873, Scientific American reported that Kansas City, Missouri was blanketed with frogs that dropped from the sky during a storm.” [paranormal.about.com] Sure sounds pretty crazy doesn’t it? Well, I don’t buy it either. Although, you can ‘google up’ lots of real-life reports of frogs pouring down, just like that. I can almost hear you think; ok, but what the heck is javga talkin’ about?
Well… I don’t know either really. I guess this frog reminded me of a great, great movie, called ‘Magnolia.’ Have you ever seen it? No? Shame on you because you should! It’s truly one of the best films I have ever seen. The story is pretty amazing, heart breaking, a little weird and pretty complicated too. ( Wikipedia tells you all about it.)
At the end of the story it’s starting to rain… And yes, you guessed right… thousands of frogs are pouring down… I’m not going to explain (to complicated) why this frog-rain appears in Magnolia, but one thing is for sure. Number 82 shows up quite regular in this movie. Wikipedia explains that frog-rain is a reference to Exodus 8:2: “If you refuse to let them go, I will plague your whole country with frogs.”
Soon I am going to watch the dvd again.
“Phil Parma: [looks out window]
Why are frogs falling from the sky? ”
