Shot Notes
Many HDR photographs (and this is my humble opinion) are overdone and often just used as a trick. When HDR is done right it is a pretty cool and useful technique. With this one I had my first serious go and it worked out pretty good! I was facing a heap of low sunlight here, the fence was casting a great shadow on the water, there was a nice blue sky and the horizon was a bit fading because of a retrieving morning fog. All these elements where impossible to capture in just one shot, but I had to have them. So, I decided to try a 3 image HDR shot. I was pleasantly surprised with the result in Photoshop and after some fine tuning I posted it here right away.
* I totally agree with you about the HDR images one can find . I like them natural with just the right amount of processing.

* I really like the result. I’m sure I don’t process HDR images as intended, but more just to my liking. I enjoy seeing what the process pulls out of the image.

* I would never even have guessed this was a HDR! And that is a compliment because i agree with your comment about HDR being mostly used as a trick.
