Fact: Fifty-one percent of Dutch consumers still consider potatoes a delicious basic ingredient for preparing the daily hot meal. On average, the Dutch eat potatoes four times a week. Each Dutch person eats an average of 80 kilos of potatoes per year, of which about 50 kilos are “regular” potatoes and 30 kilos are chips and crisps.
