Shot Notes
Oh brother! This swan really had it in for me. She was getting aggravated because I was coming a bit to close… I did not carry a proper zoom lens that afternoon, no, I had a 60 m.m. macro lens screwed on! Talking about making wise choices and photographing an angry Swan, hissing to you like a “ready to attack” snake. A swan is able to hurt a person pretty badly, so I kept my distance and did not hang around too long… This nest is located at the side of a country road, carrying enough traffic for a swan to know she won’t get much privacy there. Swans just don’t care I guess…

* Arjan is right in that that is a far larger nest than I have seen swans build. My local pair are going thru the same motions and I ma hoping that, this year, they will produce some cygnets.
